About

I work as a researcher in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of California, Berkeley. My work focuses on the development of spatiotemporal mathematical/computational simulations to understand how gene-drive technology (CRISPR/Cas9) could help us eradicate mosquito-borne diseases (such as malaria, dengue, Zika, chikungunya and yellow fever).

Before this, I did a PhD in Computer Science, and a BSc in Mechatronics Engineering, although I’ve always been interested in arts and how to use computational techniques for artistic purposes. This is why I created this blog: to share some of the scripts I’ve been playting around with over the years in the hopes that they are useful for more people.
